We are shocked and greatly saddened to learn of the passing of long-time NBOTAC member and friend, Nick Dell’Omo. Nick was a well-respected, well-liked member of the Thorold business community, and was always involved in helping make Thorold a better place. I met him first through the original Thorold Chamber of Commerce when he was the owner of Riganelli’s Bakery. Fast forward a few years and we served on the board of the GTBC and then NBOTAC together. Friendly, hard-working, generous, Nick was a constant NBOTAC supporter. Some of my fond memories are of our after-hours board meetings at his Biscotti Cafe. He also worked hard for the Thorold BIA, on many fronts, but notably to help bring the classic cars (another one of his passions) to downtown Thorold on summer weekends. Nick had been serving as president of Club Capri for the past seven years. The last time I saw him was at the club for our most recent Lunch & Learn on the 10th. It’s hard to believe that just a week later, he’s gone. Nick passed on Wednesday, January 17th. Rest in peace, Nick.
You will be long missed.
