Thorold Age-Friendly Committee- The mandate of the Thorold Ad Hoc Age-Friendly Committee is to provide recommendations to the Thorold City Council regarding a strategy and action plan to elevate the profile, level of leadership and engagement of older adults (55+) in the community. Recommendations would also be made on how to facilitate active lifestyles for all older adults, optimize health and wellness services for older adults and to improve access and utilization of various services and supports. Four sub-committees have recently been formed to assist in the development of a Thorold Aging Strategy and Action Plan: (1) Business, Health and Service Providers; (2) Housing/Health Services and Community Support; (3) Public and Outdoor Spaces, Buildings and Transportation; and (4) Social and Civic Participation and Communications and Information. Thorold Family Health Centre- Thorold Family Medical Centre is your new family health organization. The Centre’s goal is to provide patients the highest level of medical care. The medical team includes Dr. Preston Zuliani, Dr. Brian Siu, Dr. Andre Blanchard, and Dr. Christopher Zuliani (Chiropractor). The Thorold Family Medical Centre is now accepting new patients. Appointments can be booked for these clinics or patients can drop in with no appointment. For patient registration, visit the Centre located at 21 Front St. South during regular office hours, Mon-Fri, 8 am to 5 pm. Meet the medical team and see their new office.
